Zoning Compliance/ Complaints

The primary function of a Zoning Compliance is to identify and correct violations of Village of Solvay Codes and Ordinances.  The Code Enforcement Department operates upon Citizen Complaints and our own observations.  If you would like to file a complaint, please fully complete, sign, and date a Complaint Form and return completed form to Solvay Code Enforcement.  Complaints cannot be filed anonymously, but the complainant’s identity is kept strictly confidential.  Solvay Code Enforcement investigates all written and signed complaints received.

The Code Enforcement Department works closely with violators to bring them into compliance.  If necessary will present cases to Justice Court for prosecution.
