Village of Solvay uses TextMyGov!
Village of Solvay is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov services as another convenient way for residents, employees and visitors to communicate with the Village. You can text key words like ‘VILLAGE HALL’, ‘Building Permit’, ‘Electric Customers’, ‘Rental Inspections’, and ‘News’ to receive Village info via text. There is a link to a keyword sheet below to get a complete list of textable phrases. (More added over time). You can also sign-up for Village text alerts (See Service 2 below).
Service 1 – Reporting/Get Village Info:
- Texting keywords to 315-461-2818 will reply with Department information. You can also use this service to report problems. For example texting (‘POTHOLE’) will give you instructions to take a picture and report issues on the road.
- Text “Hi” to 315-461-2818 to get started. If you want to receive ‘Village Alert Notifications ‘ see ‘Service 2’ below.
Service 2 – Notification Alerts from the Village:
- Sign up for notification alerts by texting ‘solvayalerts’ to phone number 91896. You may receive multiple text messages a month with a notification for each alert category you opted-in to. (You can opt-out at anytime)
How to Opt-Out of Alerts:
Text STOP to 91896 at any time to remove yourself from the notification list.
Text “solvayalerts” to the same number 91896 if you want to be re-added.
