Trash, Garbage & Recyclables
The Village picks up only normal household trash in approved containers or clear plastic bags. Cardboard & recyclables must be in blue bins.
The Village does not pick up:
Paint, aerosol cans, tires, metal, television sets, computers, microwaves, dehumidifers, air conditioners, refrigerators and/or propoane tanks. If you leave these items on the curb or on your property, you may be cited by the Code Enforcement Department which may result in fines and court appearances.
The Village may pickup some specified large items like chairs, couches, etc. Call the office for more information and/or schedule a pickup day (Fridays only).
Large amounts of trash/garbage, like those generated when cleaning out a house or apartment, must be removed by an independent hauler at the property owner’s expense. Many can be found in the telephone book. If you disregard these requirements, you may be cited by the Code Enforcement Department which may result in fines and court appearances.
Brush & Yard Waste
Brush must be in a neat pile separate from all other waste. It must be no longer than five (5) feet in length or eight (8) inches in diameter.
Yard waste must be placed in cans, boxes or brown paper bags that can be dumped or picked up.
Place brush & yard waste by the curb the day before pickup (Mondays & Tuesdays).
If you disregard these requirements, you may be cited by the Code Enforcement Department which may result in fines and court appearances.
