The VOS Alerts System is an informational system only, and will not inform subscribed users about Public Safety Emergency Warnings. In the case of an event of Public Safety Emergency, the Village of Solvay will work with Public Safety Services and determine what, if necessary, information should be presented to the subscribed users of the VOS Alerts System.
VOS Alerts enforces a ZERO SPAM policy and your information is protected and never shared. You will never receive unsolicited messages. VOS Alerts will not sell your information to any third-party marketers.

The GeoCast Emergency Notification System is utilized to notify Onondaga County residents in emergency situations where events have occurred and special instructions to residents in a specific neighborhood are needed. Examples of those instructions include missing person where their life may be endangered, emergency evacuation or shelter in place instructions, or other critical life safety information.

This website contains critical emergency-related information including instructions and recommended protective actions developed in real-time by emergency service personnel. Concurrent with the posting to this website, that same information will be disseminated through various communications systems (e.g. email, cell phones, media outlets) to those who sign up.
