516-518 Woods Road There was a discussion about the fire at this residence. Nadine talked about trial on March 25. There was not enough damage to the house to demolish it. Nadine talked about the trial on March 25 concerning this address. They were fined for many violations for the outside of the house. If the house is brought up to code, there will be no trial. If nothing is done then there will be a trial. Not sure if there is any insurance. The owners will let the Village know if they want to demolish it. There was a question if some one is living inside. There was a discussion.
Discussion on house on Gertrude and First Street – where are we with this house and is anything being done. The house next door is vacant because they had an illegal apartment in basement. We talked about turning the power off on vacant homes.
Discussion about Deverso garage on Milton Ave. Donna Taggart was asked what is it like inside….is there anything we can do to look at it? She has no idea. Anything we can do about the garage?
Discussion about signs on building at Pallotta’s garage owned by LaValle now. Number and size of signs. Are signs grandfathered in? The business on Milton have five years to conform their signs. The problem is that letters were not sent out informing these businesses of the sign change.
Discussed the Sharps Disposal Regulations. We will have form made up to be kept on the garbage truck. If there is a sharp object, the form will be made out, call police and issue a citation. Have lawyer make up a resolution. Send notice in electric bill to inform people where they can dispose of needles. Nadine Bell will present at next meeting a proposal.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. We will finalize the sharp disposal regulations and storage of RV and Boats in driveways and portable storage units.
