April Showers bring May flowers.   The months just seem to be flying by.  Our thanks go out to all the volunteers that came out to clean the village on April 21st.  They collected a lot of junk.  Thanks again,  it is truly appreciated.  Please remember trash is picked up on Friday’s .  Please call the Highway Department during the week to schedule a pick-up and remember don’t put the trash out until Thursday.  Thank you!

Again, our Codes Department is out citing for high grass and trash violations.  Please try to be respectful of your property and clean up.  With the Clean Water Act try to sweep the grass off of the sidewalks and not into the street.  This is a violation of the Clean Water Act. Let’s have some Solvay Pride and clean up and respect your neighbor that is complying.

Memorial Day will be celebrated on Monday, May 28th.  There will be no parade this year just a ceremony at the monument.  There will be a luncheon to follow.

Description: The Village of Solvay is having a Clean up Day in conjunction with Earth Day. The Mayor is asking anyone who is interested to come out on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. to help clean up the village.

We will meet at the Highway garage on Milton Avenue and will be assigned an area to clean. Gloves and bags will be supplied.

Please join us and ask your family and friends to come out for the fun!
