In these difficult times, consolidation and even dissolution of local governments have been identified by many in state government and the media as the panacea for all of New York’s ills.  Unfortunately, the essential value of municipal government has been disregarded in what has often been an attempt to distract the public from the real causes of New York’s high property taxes, such as unfunded state mandates.

Halloween Hayrides

Solvay First Annual Halloween Hayride
There will be plenty of games and refreshments for the kids.   Free hayrides, one pumpkin per child (limit of 3 per family) and prizes.

family and friends.  “Kids, don’t forget to wear your costumes!”

Trash Pickup

Special trash pick up will be done on Friday ONLY during November 1st to April 1st.

Please call 468-1606 for a pick up.  Trash must be put out no earlier than 4:00 pm the night before your pick up.
