UPDATE – Online Electric Dept. Billing

power_pole_with_transformersThe Village of Solvay Electric Department is working hard to offer our subscribers new technology.  The new system will offer as an option to view and pay your electric bill online.

Currently, working with our software vendors, our billing systems are being developed to support online billing.  We are unsure of an exact date at this time for the new option to pay and view accounts online, but we are assured that it will be soon.  Please visit our website regularly for updates and local news information.

Highway Department – NEWS

To the Village of Solvay Residents:

recycle1The clean-up of our transfer station on Mathews Avenue will be on-going throughout our 2009 calendar year.

The transfer station will not be open for drop offs any longer. We have implemented a new scheduled pick-up service for our village residents.

This service will be conducted on a CALL IN BASIS ONLY by calling 468-1606. Pick ups will now be done on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Solvay mayor, trustee candidates named

In addition to the mayoral seat, three trustee and the village justice’s terms are ending in March in the village of Solvay.
The candidates, according to Solvay Village Clerk Cheryl Libertone, are:

1st Ward Trustee

Patrick O’Neill (R)
